News NSW2U and NSWDL got hit by Nintendo

Exactly why I would just make the assumption that Nintendo is nagging their legal team enough so that they would nag the FBI next for them to do something about it and they did, since Nintendo (and Sony) don't want their stuff being hosted illegally (and it's within their right to do so, I get it)
Like these 2 are so protective of their IP there are torrents of how many games there are being hosted and transferred throughout the globe but Nintendo's precious 3 million illegal downloads is more pressing matter.

God damn you sure you're not a government watchlist

not only these websites, but also PS4PKG suffered the same fate recently.
The thought that Bloodborne never getting out of the PS4 is kind of funny to me, especially how Shadps4 police people for even asking about what happened to the install PKG button lol, no clue if they even reinstated the function yet (probably no chance at it lol since they dont want to promote piracy iirc) so I bet some of the devs will just go rogue like that time xenia shamed you for loading an ISO file lol

**just found out theres a fork for shadps4 that adds the feature back in lmao

It's been out long before, but feds are on a shutdown spree

I think we should start leaving flash drives full of ROMs in public restrooms and as tips at restaurants and make it impossible to NOT have full libraries of classics.

Anyway, Nintendo is discontinuing their Game voucher programs by 2026, them lobbying against Stop Killing Games, Sony is there as well as Embracer Group, and the pirate sites manhunt, it sort of adds up on how they're after anyone taking a piece of their profit and stopping them from taking chances to nickel and dime their consumer base to remind them that "Hey, better get used to pay full-price for games that'll get nicked away from your hands just because we want to" just like they did Concord, sure it wasn't a good shooter or anything remarkable and all that, but it immediately dematerialized out of existence and some of the users library forever just because they want to.

I dont get people who complain about companies like Nintendo defending their property.

You're at a pirate site. So do you blame others of how they feel against Nintendo.

Their defence ruins our emulator fun, and even mod fun for Nintendo games. I don't have to care about their legal right to defend their property. I don't have to care about laws too because governments are self-entitled mafias that enforce their BS rules on people no question asked in "my way or highway" way by operating like popular girl group of the school lol so I have no real reason to care what a government or company wants. What people wants cannot cancel out what I want. Of course what I want matters over what a government or company wants. I don't even have to care about what a god wants. Either you walk next to me or you blocking me or you are nobody!!!! lol

I don't get people getting surprised that sites sharing roms of currently produced consoles are getting shut down.

On the other hand Emuparadise and other sites having old console's iso (I think Vimm's Lair hasn't gone beyond the PS360/Wii) sucks because you cannot legally get most of these games aside from a rather scarce number of remasters and ports. Same with fangames and romhacks (well, at least patches not the full rom with the hack) because the former are free and original products rather than licensed and sold ones and the later are meant for people that are supposedly already owning the product to apply the patch on it.

Sony are also being protective over their stuff as well. Microsoft are probably the cooler yet they are still selling services a lot and while it's easier to play their retro lineup they sadly don't have a legacy as strong as Sony nor Nintendo when it comes to non-third party games.

I don't want to delve into political talks but if you're living in a country you are ought to follow their rules like at a host's house. You're normally free to change state if you prefer the other rules or you can also vote or try convincing them for a referendum to change some laws if you really want to change things, that would ultimately be more productive than complaining on a forum to be honest.

Or even better: have rom sites not sharing Switch 1&2 roms since some of the ones I know are relatively safe from the hammer as long as nobody make too much noises about them.
