There was a remastered of the NES version, but still plays the same unfortunately.

I remember that game! I played it a bunch on my dad's Commodore 64 when I was a kid.
We had it on a floppy disc with a handwritten label alongside a few other games. Guess my dad was already sailing the high seas when I was still a little brat.
