I definitely have nostalgia for something like the action replay on DS which is pointless now that cheats can be just injected into roms and shit

pc games on cd/dvd. the pure thrill of seeing that installation bar progressing slowly but surely towards the end was, and still is for me, unmatched. that shid got me pumped to play

To this day, I still play some games with lower aspect ratios. The black bars add to the immersion, even if it literally means I just see less/have to squint to see more. Playing CS:GO with black bars while blasting Paralyzer will never not be fun.
