Yes, but having alternatives is good. Also the author and his research are renowned.

Which is great, I'm happy they make it better. But considering Azahar and Shadps4 situation where they remove support for most common file types the ROMs get archived as to avoid piracy, i'm always happy to have alternative options.
Still i will take on recommending No$GBA again as GBA emulator. I thought it was dead because everyone only mentioned mGBA or retroarch for it
