Physical hardware shouldn't be bound to some insane EULA which allows the manufacturer to remotely destroy the product when ever they feel like it.

And you know, Nintendo allowing third party games using a single use activation code is just as predatory.
Second hand market? Preservation? Having the option to let your friends or family borrow a game?
Can't have any of that. Nintendo and Ubisoft might lose a few dollars.

As for modding, in 20 years time when Nintendo no longer offers repairs to the Switch 2 & hardware replacement parts aren't being replicated out of fear any & all enthusiast will be sued into oblivion?

Especially when all those single use activation code are used up. Those physical cartridges are useless.
No used games for your kids.

In this case law forces selling whatever the debtor own that they don't need as "basic needs" and then give a particular % of their income to Nintendo until they pay off the debt lol.
