"Defendant’s conduct has caused NOA significant and irreparable harm. For example, the MIG Devices, Mod Chips, Hacked Consoles, and Circumvention Services allow members of the public to create, distribute, and play pirated Nintendo games on a massive scale. Thus, the MIG devices, Mod Chips, Hacked Consoles, and Circumvention Services harm NOA's goodwill, detract from NOA's consumer base, and enable widespread illegal and difficult to detect copying."

But it's Switch 1. Nintendo has Switch 2 to worry about unless Switch 1 is still outselling Switch 2-OH WAIT A MINUTE....

is this like the Wii U scenario where the Wii was selling more than the WiiU?

"has caused NOA significant and irreparable harm." oh yeah, i'm sure all of the top dogs at NOA are crying their eyes out...now instead of 2 billion we only get 1 billion. how will they ever recover from this? maybe release the 100th mario kart or donkey kong country? ima go play me some pirated nintendo games!

Good, i can't believe MiG was depriving NOA of their diamond coated pools and Electric cars, those don't grow on trees you know?

Nintendo of America is turning in the same disconnected from the audience beast that SOA was in the Saturn era, but now they are worse since here they are cold and calculating

So this is why Nintendo is bricking Switch 2's so aggressively? That even if you buy a used game and it's not legit, or a used NS2 system and it once had a MIG in it, they completely lock you out?

I did buy a Switch 2 (I wanted Bravely Default's remaster) but I still emulate Nintendo games. I don't see the problem with it. The money you think you are "losing" is just theoretical. Those people who ONLY play pirated backups via the MIG are not EVER going to legitimately buy your products anyway, so they aren't lost sales. And the "dabblers" in it, like myself, will still buy from you...they just want options. Options that you refuse to give. At least Sony has started putting their games on Steam, and at least Microsoft has put their stuff on other systems. If Nintendo wants to run the only walled garden left in the industry, then expect people to fight it.

This is why - and I'm sorry if it angers Nintendo diehards - I do not respect the big N. It's bad enough they are harassing Pal World. This is just another issue that makes their anti consumer practices harder to ignore.
