Wow that's a proud sum worth $1.4 Million but it is clear that something like this happens . Two days ago I had to drive some freight train containers to Hamburg and in one of these containers there were about 2500 Nintendo Switch 2, the container was so poorly secured that I wouldn't have been surprised if it had been stolen.

When stuff like this happens, the insurance pays for it. But people going that far for Switch 2's is wild considering there is no games on the system
Yeah everything has gone crazy and many people really started to go crazy.

Nintendo Switch 2 only has

oh Hamburg, i am from there!

Would they have logs/know the serial numbers on those consoles?
Most likely. Usually things like that are recorded before being shipped. I wouldn't be surprised if the thieves ended up making off with $1.4 million in bricks by the time Nintendo's done.

Don't tell me the truck driver didn't know what he/she was transporting, that's literally their job to keep track of inventory & manage it. The thieves knew what they were doing, someone had told them what the trucker was transporting.

Yes, each Nintendo Switch has its own device identifier sort of like a MAC address, so if the console is stolen it would be pointless to try and use it online. Same concept like a phone with a IMEI #.

The point of the story, Nintendo Switches 2 stolen & being sold on the dark web or used for device modification.

Oh Insurance always tries to find ways to not pay for it, saying that is not good and theft has other damages as well, and erosion societal trust. Insurance at tops "maybe" pays for this shit, or pays only half or a quarter. They would not be making money if they did not find every loop hole to exploit and get out from paying up. That aside, crimes and them becoming acceptable erodes society down.

That said, fukin funny and nintendo has not made any new fans to defend them with this.
Apparently this is a silly way to go at it even if they tried to sell the systems since apparently scalping attempts backfired on those geniuses too.

I believe the driver participated because it was somehow perfect how everything went.

Of course. More than likely paid in cash for the participation.

I'll start getting worried once we see water and food getting regularly stolen.
