i'll buy a Switch 2 when it starts making more physical games that are more fairly priced and we start seeing more variety. Until then I'm holding out for Sega.

You won't be seeing any physical games from Nintendo anymore. The Switch 2 cartridges don't hold anything but a download key.

The only reason I would buy one is to mod the shit out of it and play emulators on it, but for that it's way too expensive when I can do the same with my PSP, which I bought for 50 bucks. Nintendo is going to prevail no matter what though. Their fans do not care, they want to play Mario, and Nintendo knows that.

The Switch 2 has worse launch titles than any console I can remember, and it still sold out everywhere. Which is also why I'm not really affected by the take down. I was not planning on playing Mario Kart World. I'm gonna play the Sonic one with Hatsune Miku, thank you very much. Nintendo can continue their little cult thing and cry me a river if I do end up emulating their systems. Every media industry has been trying to stop piracy from the moment people have begun creating art, none have ever achieved anything. You cut of one head and a thousand new ones will grow.

Technically the art doesn't have to be even NSFW for them to even "hunt you down". A company can attack an artist for the excuse of "it ruins our brand value and thus we lose sells!!!".

For example my Kirby artwork can be a subject for Nintendo to sue me for "it's not what Kirby is about!!! it's false advertising to make people don't wanna buy our products!!! because of this BS we lost sells!!!" lol:

Nintendo being Nintendo. Unsurprising. They've been doing a great job in persuading consumers to consider AVOIDING the Switch 2 at all costs.

Between this and banning you for playing used copies (which was like, the whole point of their game carts, right, right?) this whole situation is only strenghtening my resolve to never buy anything Nintendo ever again. If I want a handheld, I have a myriad of options of android and linux based emulation portables, and even handheld PCs now. Screw them.

Yeah ok, the Game Boy Color, PS3, Xbox One, and 3DS had WAY worse launch titles. Mario Kart World is amazing. They are not. Is Nintendo going to do everything they can to stop them...NO. Nintendo has in fact even tried C&D several romhacking sites in the past. Best way not to get their wrath is to keep a low profile. ISN'T that right CDromance...

Actually Fair Use laws allow you some leeway in using copyright characters in compromising positions...[doujinshi]. What Nintendo did was horrible act. They targeted the sites instead of the users forcing lots of artists to had their artwork deleted or removed. It is similar to Youtube copyright claim, you don't even have to be the owner of the material to give someone a very bad day.
