Nintendo has raised its employees base salary by 10%

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has stated to shareholders that the Kyoto-based company has now raised its base salary for employees by 10% in a move to retain talent. Here's what Mr. Furukawa told investors today.

"We maintain salaries at an appropriate level. We believe it is important to ensure that compensation remains at an appropriate standard. For example, we have increased pay, including raising base salaries by 10%"
 
That's great. It makes me wonder how long it had been since there'd been a flat pay rise before this, but it's good news nonetheless.
 
Good for the people that works on Nintendo. Retaining a job at the industry is getting complicated these years.
