Maybe you could try making a second version without animations? I don't mean you SHOULD, but it may help with the performance issues.

Incredible work either way — I have seen PAID themes not looking nearly half as good as this one does.

Hmm, that's actually a good idea. I have to organize the code anyway. I could add an alternative switch I suppose. I'll try this first but it will take a few days or so.

Yeah, I'll see if I can look into some JavaScript to do such a thing. I could make a script (hopefully) that can shut off all of the pulsating (kek the sounds funny) glow by a switch.

Anyway, I've managed to start to create a script with JavaScript that might help the lag but I am not going to incorporate it yet. I'm going to make a new theme that is hidden and fix the issues everyone has been having with the PS2 theme, then incorporate that into the actual theme. So please bear with me, it will take a couple days.

Just letting y'all know that I'm getting started on fixing the PS2 theme. Cleaning up the code because it's really messy lol Also going to make the script for the switch to remove animations. So should be done in a week or so. So I am actively working on it.

(It's on a seperate theme so I don't break this one lol)

Well this was an easier fix than I thought. Click that and if it's grey, it's off. ALL animations are off, the glow on the main wrapper is gone and the forum hover animation. See if that works for all of you or if it still lags.


Also I know there is a glow on the text editor and the thread posts, but I will see if I can fix that as well. I just want to know if the main wrapper glow and forum hover was doing it.

Great! So it was just the index page. But if anyone has other issues with it I can always tweak it to turn off the glowing in other places.

Still have to organize the code but I wanted to get the script done first because that was paramount.

Have you tried disabling effects? It certainly makes a difference.

I'll give it a shot! Tho, it might have been because I am at the moment viewing the forum on mobile.

The button is on mobile and desktop. Clicking it will turn off the animations, even if you are on your phone or PC.

Just a head's up:

I've removed the pulsing glow entirely. That was the main version for the lag. But the PS2 button will still be on the bottom because it will turn the forum hover animation if that is causing problems.

I've been asked if the font can be changed maybe to something similar to default or sans serif.
I see "roboto" as font family but I'm getting plain serif.
