New Hilltop Translation

I'd been looking forward to their in-progress translation of Rowdy Princess, since it's another work by Linda³ director Shoji Masuda (& that quickly became my favorite!).
But I was surprised to see it was a PSX title they were announcing here. I've got a friend who playtested whatever title it is, but I think I'll wait for the announcement with everybody else.
For the record, my money's on it being Kowloon's Gate. Deep in my heart I am also hopeful for Tokimeki Memorial, but I seriously doubt they are doing that.

I think there's a Kowloon's Gate translation in progress by a different group, so it might not be that. It sounds like it's a "big" game though, so it probably is an RPG or adventure game. Maybe Blade Arts? I would love for it to be Brightis or Bealphareth, though.

Totally forgot that one was being worked on. Brightis would be nice. Changing my answer to an even less likely one: Nemuru Mayu

Tokimemo 2 is probably impossible, it's really not a project that could be tackled in just 2-3 years due to how massive it is. Same with Mitsumete Knight.
Everything else is fair game tho.

How come I’ve never even heard of this or any of the other games? What are the best places to check to keep up with translations?

There isn't a single resource, but if you follow fan translation groups on Twitter you eventually become aware of most things.

Wait have we considered that it could be the original Boku no Natsuyasumi?
The translation project for the PSP version seems to be fully dead at this point. Maybe they're moving on from that.

Also to be more realistic and not suggest a game that'd take an insane amount of work to do, I'd love for it to be a translation of Suzuki Bakuhatsu.

Don't know much about this game personally, but I've heard the name tossed around a bit. For some reason I was under the impression it was already translated... Looks neat!

turns out one of the translators in that group retired, so the other translator reached out to hilltop. (the other translator was cargodin, who translated my beloved Linda³!!)

I'm not going to celebrate just yet though; not until that shit comes out...
I remember that one time when Steins;Gate got translated in a couple of weeks, then jast bought the patch and released it literally 10 years later...
