So the Ecco The Dolphin website has been getting updates and there's a countdown clock for the new game. It looks like it's gonna be in 2D like the first few games which is good. Love the water effects on the site too. There's a sound icon on the top right of the site that's muted until you click it and hear the relaxing music for the new game. On the top left is an icon that opens the menu for information on the new game. There isn't much to go on so far, but it's by an Ecco development team and it's official with Sega. There's "Merch" listed but it's not highlighted yet and can't be clicked on yet. Wonder if it will link to Sega's shop website? There's also a list of all the people who finished Ecco The Dolphin. Not sure how they obtained that information. I just filled out a form when i created a login for the site that put me on the alpha testing list. Anyway check it out. It's a cool site that reminds me of old video game websites that used to advertise games in the 2000s.

🐬🤞Please don't suck or be a cart full of roms🤞🐬

Keeping expectations in check but I am excited for the announcement :->

This remaster is like biting into a snickers bar and realizing the inside
is made outta dog poop. I can only hope Sega just sold the rights
and aren't wasting in-house resources on this junk. But Sega was never known for
good decision making.

Cant say I have tried it, but I wanted to search for a copy of the game a while ago back when I got my DC, but never found a reasonable priced one (with shipping cost and all ofc)

I hope SEGA doesnt drop the ball and they can deliver a good Ecco game, and not a [insert popular game] - the Ecco version.

i think Ecco might have a shot because of how little known it is, but then that also means there's not enough advertising and not enough people will buy and play it. I wanna try the new game out myself just to see if it's any good. I liked the Genesis games, and Ecco on Dreamcast was solid except for the spinny camera.

Is this any part of that multiple Classic IP revival trailer from like 3 years ago? I was absolutely hyped when I saw the 3D Streets Of Rage and the new Golden Axe..... then crickets. I think we still don't have any new info on these projects. If this is part of that I hope its good because that will set the precedent for the next games.

I sort of doubt that they're going to do anything interesting with this.

Most of the time companies seem happier to wallow in their successes of the past then to try anything new and interesting with their old IPs.

I've never heard of it but it's probably worth a look.

What was the announcement? The countdown timer on the site is now for 78 days in the future
