This is an incomplete tower defense game I made maybe a year or two ago. I spent a few months on it. It's a sequel to two games I made as a kid called Mario NES Zapper and NES Zapper: Reloaded. I uploaded them to mfgg.net many years ago and they were still there last time I checked, but I don't recommend you bother playing them. They were made by an actual child so they aren't very good. I may or may not ever finish the third game, but I figured I would upload it somewhere online in case anybody else is able to have fun with it.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have about the gameplay, etc. and if I can remember how I designed that part I'd be happy to share how it works. I might share the Game Maker files too if anyone feels like modding/continuing it, but I realize it's pretty optimistic to think anyone would want to do that. Also be warned that you're very likely to encounter some glitches and the save feature doesn't work properly because I didn't finish programming it. So, the save will remember certain data but forget other bits of data and trying to load your game may cause unexpected problems.
