Team NES here, the Master System had winner (Master of darkness, Sonic 1 and 2's Ports, Alex Kidd in Shinobi World...) but to be fair, the NES had the bigger selection
Master System was more powerful and had better gamepad, but NES had way better games library and many peripherals. I also had NES during my kid years. So, I choose NES.
Not exclusively but the contracts between them and third-party developers said they couldn't port games to other platforms until two years had passed after their initial release.
(But then on the other hand, Sega literally didn't even allow third party developers for the Master System at all until 1988)
