It's one of those games where you need to beat it on maximum difficulty to get a true ending.
In terms of gameplay, it is just set minigames.

I kept watching the anime because of how cool whatever on any screen people use looks, but really anime is so bad the main kid ruins the whole anime make it a torture to endure it so I kept skipping his emo scenes lol. Better read its "fixed" manga for a decent story, character and actual ending lol.

You could just watch the rebuild movies. The main anime was kinda cool for the first half but really fell off at the end. As bad as the last few episodes are it was kinda funny so i stuck with it.

Although to watch the end of evangelion its best to watch the anime first and remember its intended to replace the last few episodes because of how bad they are. The end of evangelion was sooooo fucked lmao!
