Some great news for Neo Geo CD owners:

Over the last few months, developer IQ_132 converted many classic Neo Geo MVS games over to the often forgotten Neo Geo CD. I have tried all of the new conversion except for "Legend of Success Joe" and they seem to work just fine. The fact that Spin Masters works is mind blowing and must have taken a lot of effort to do. Doing the conversions using the prepared scripts is super easy and doesn't take long at all. The only one I had issues with was the POW conversion (it took ages to find the correct version of the MAME rom). On the bright side, I have to say that I am loving the POW conversion, so it was worth the extra time it took ;-)

I am afraid that there are no downloads; you will have to download the different "builder" scripts from here:

Neo Geo CD Conversion Project.

Version 1.1 - fixed crash on level 3.2 caused by an original programming bug Nice work! Interesting there was a bug that only crashes CD systems. The 8man license is probably the real reason it didn't get an official CD release though.

Once you have them, you can download the MVS ROMs that you need from here:

neogeoaesmvscomplete directory listing

Then you just need to follow the instructions found in the builder "read me" files (extract the ROMs in a certain directory and then execute the "runme.bat" file). I hope that helps!

In that case, you need one of these:

The loading times are dramatically decreased (4 times the original loading speed) ;-)

Some scripts are attachment and can't be downloaded. Tried to register but my account was rejected.
Can someone who has an account there download and upload somewhere else?

These projects like this look quite curious and the community is bringing the other Neo-Geo MVS/AES games to the CD that normally SNK itself could not bring them due to time or license issues than anything else.
