Just delete the apps that are tempting you, i.e. social media. You should be fine otherwise, unless they've changed banking apps to offer infinite scrolling. I only use Reddit, and even that is a pointless waste of time. I installed Instagram to post photos of a trip to Japan for friends and family(and have procrastinated on doing that), and now I get spammed multiple times a day with sponsored garbage notifications. I hate it, I need to dump the photos so I can uninstall it in peace.
Just stick to the essentials. Any banking/utility apps, YouTube and music stuff, whatever messaging apps you need, and then a browser. You really don't need much else to get by. You can't theoretically be addicted to and tempted by that which is not installed, so just don't install the stuff that wants to waste your time.
