NDS Pokemon skincolor

Before I go through all the trouble, does anyone know about pokemon NDS romhacks that change the protagonist to a darker skincolor?

A cursory search yielded nothing.
I seem to remember there being a fangame in the works where you could customize your trainer a lot, but I don't remember if it was for gen 2 or gen 4, sorry.

You are probably thinking about Pokemon Crystal Clear, which has crazy customization and let's you pick your character's skin color, among many other things.

Never heard of it but try Pokémon Shadow Legends (HeartGold hack)!

The only one I can think of is Pokemon Unbound which has the DS aesthetics, but is actually a FireRed romhack.
