I remember being so highly disappointed when i found out this sequel was absolutely nothing like the first Super Famicom game, yo i was so bored and pissed, i deleted that shit so quickly and never bothered with it again lol.

If it ever does get a fan translation, i'll "maybe" give it another shot but hopefully it gets better or actually fun later in the game.

Hopefully the game will be actually worth it if/when it gets translated. Mystic Ark is pretty great, though, I'll grant that much.

I only consider them "sequels" in the same capacity as Soulblazer, Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma are connected: just loose thematic similarities between them.

Okay, let's start with the part about how the previous games were amazing (sadly overshadowed by the stup1d decision not to release them outside of Japan, except "Elnard", than was called "7h Quest"). This part was... weak. Clearly, the initial idea was completely different, but hey... Resident Evil sold well worldwide, so let's do something different from the previous games.
The only thing I'd save is the music, as it would be sacrilege for anything from the "Mystic Ark" saga to have bad music.
Even so, I'd expect an English translation.

Yeah, it's a sequel/spin-off, but it's an adventure game rather than a RPG.
