My ridiculous dream: installing Windows on an SNES Mini… that I don’t even own

Hey everyone,

So I wanted to share one of my most ridiculous tech dreams — and the best part is, it’s about a console I don’t even have.
For some reason, I keep imagining taking an SNES Mini and turning it into a tiny Windows workstation for coding hacks, mods, and other digital nonsense.
Yes, I know.
I know.
It’s basically the tech equivalent of wanting to put a Ferrari engine into a lawnmower.
And again… I don’t even own an SNES Mini.
But the idea cracks me up: powering on this cute little retro box and suddenly seeing the Windows desktop pop up like it’s totally normal.
Anyone else have a nerdy dream this unrealisticLike installing Linux on a microwave, running Doom on a TV remote, or turning a Tamagotchi into a DNS server

Come on, share your wildest tech fantasies so I don’t feel like the only one losing it.

How this for example, a can of coke that is actual a torch. To confuse dinner guest and others a small fridge yet inside is actually a cooker? Are these what you meaning? One more: A exercise bike that think that it a telephone and wonders why that no one calls? Last: A Suction-Cup Vertical Mower that climbs walls to cut ivy and etc? Danger for decapitation if suction fails!!! 🦄 🌻

I don't know...Er...Maybe...How about a ghost toaster, it is undead, yet it somehow still makes toast! Yet the toast is sorta spooky! Yeah!

Well, as the SNES Mini uses an Allwinner R16 System-on-Chip (SoC) with a Quad-Core ARM Cortex-A7 CPU, which is an older 32-bit CPU, it is probably not feasible. You could get Linux or Android on it, and even if you could get Windows to run on it, there wouldn't be any compatible drivers for it. So, sadly, probably not going to happen.

And yes, you can sideload Windows 3.x on it. You can do that on Android/IOS and PSP/Vita as well, but that's not the same as installing it.

You stated "Installing" not "Sideloading"

Linux on PS2 would be pretty funny. Too bad it's just a pipe dream...
Hannah Montana Linux would also be pretty funny, someday maybe...
Oh, I wouldn't call it a Pipe dream dear.
