Multi-system console/PC ?

It'd be particularly useful to me, since I can't afford a normal PC and have been without one for almost a decade at this point... so, yeah, I'd want one.

LOL! But yeah, I have half a mind of getting myself something, anything that resembles the functionality of a PC just so I can stop working with temporary fixes and extremely rickety solutions (I write my articles through DOSBOX on the PS3)... and if the industry is gonna provide it, then all the better.

... But I can't even afford a Steamdeck, so I'm kinda feeling like a train conductor looking for a steering wheel, NGL XD

I got really lucky with my steam deck
I wanna get a legion go but… you know what they say, don’t count your chickens before they hatch.
Kind of a shame the pc gaming market has been plagued by parts that are intentionally overpriced by the companies that sell them.

My laptop, or should I say electronic potato, is just an i5 8th gen and a 4GB Nvidia card that is screaming to death if I even consider opening games. That is why I am using my Xbox for games and emulators, and my mobile from time to time.

BTW, Xbox dev mode is a gift for emulation, the performance is insane.

I had this wild idea of an Xbox with a custom SteamOS build in next to the system software called SteamX for the next-gen Xbox. It's just a dream, unfortunately. Xbox will do PC gaming on Xbox, but how it will flow with the console aspect is what worries me.

technically, all consoles are PCs, just very specialized ones with unique hardware. it's why there is so much trouble emulating some games and consoles.

a youtuber that i watch, itsagundam, briefly talked about the ps4 and xbox one in a video, and he said that they are just mainly computer towers without a monitor. i wish i could remember what video it was, but alot of people in the comments were chatting about, agreeing with that statement.

it would be neat to have a computer/laptop that could do everyday stuff and could handle intense games at the same time. but it would be pretty expensive for a long time.

Hmm. Honestly? I do not know. I was a big console boy until I got a solid gaming PC and now that's my preferred way to play games. I still get consoles for their exclusives, but PC is my jam now. My boyfriend also tends to upgrade his PC often so I get free hand-me-down upgrades! I just don't know in the end. I'd miss being able to fuck around with hardware, software and not be locked to a console's OS or something. It'd be even worse if it limited the games I could play. Ultimately, I voted for maybe, because I just don't know what a PC/console hybrid would entail. x)
