I'll start.
So, I recently saw the Brendan Fraser 2025 film Rental Family and I thought that while the film was brilliant, it would have been even better as a television show. Like, imagine a longer version of this story, where each episode is just the main character going to different clients and learning their story of how they got isolated from society, and the MC helping them out through his own means. What we got was already brilliant, but I felt as a television series, it would have been even more better.

Feel free to tell which film do you think would have been far better as a television show? The reason could be endless: episodic plot, epic scale, or just a large cast of characters. Whatever it is, feel free to share! (Though try not to spoil the plot too much if it helps)

I know there's an animated show from the 90's but I think a new take on classic Jumanji with new characters would be fine if they flesh out the lore and expand on it while honoring Robin Williams' character. Not turning it into a video game like the Dwayne Johnson ones. Suck cuz I love Karen Gillan.

Robin Williams will Always be the best! ::winkfelix

Serenity. It could have been expanded into a full 2nd season for Firefly, but that show always got screwed by the higher ups. I'm just glad we got the Serenity movie at all.

Yeah, I remember seeing this film and thought it felt like so ten episodes of a show packed into one movie lol
It was based on a french comic that ran for over 40 years. So, yea I feel where you are coming from.

Pretty much any comic movie ever...

Unpopular opinion... Dune. Both of them, the Lynch and the more recent ones. Sci-Fi _did_ this, sort of, back in the day with the Dune mini series. The budget was low but I feel like the topics in the book got a better explanation than either of the movies. I feel like with a proper budget you could cover Dune, really cover it, in 1 or two seasons.

Promare should have been a 26 episode anime series. I still love the movie, but a lot of the side/supporting characters don't get much development, aside from a few bonus shorts on the Blu-Ray/DVD. This anime film is basically Trigger's equivalent of greatest hits album.

Rainbow Magic: Return to Rainspell Island

I loved the story (Nothing too wheel reinventing) but i feel it could be a great pilot for at least 26 episodes, JUST LOOK AT THE ARTSTYLE

Ever watch the Spice Diver's cut of Lynch's Dune? It blows the original version and the new Denis movies out of the water.

I'm going to get shit for this probably but I felt this way last time I tried watching Lord of the Rings.

Resident Evil - Welcome to Raccoon City.

Many see it as a bad and forgettable film, but I love it because it succeeded in one goal: reflecting the true nature of Resident Evil, which is B-grade horror. But B-grade in spirit, not in the director's desire to overwhelm everything with suplexes and epic kills like they did in the Jovovich movies.

It's a film that combines the first two games and, in my opinion, ends too quickly, with some parts that I felt needed more exploration and characters that weren't exactly well-written (Leon first and foremost; I was shocked to discover he's one of the protagonists of Nickelodeon's Victorious, xD), but these are the risks when you try to do everything in a short amount of time. A TV series would have been nice, certainly much better than the Netflix one, starting from the Spencer Manor and ending with the bomb that destroyed Raccoon City.
