Movies that have similiar atmosphere and vibe like well-known games

This is probably a stretch but it's one of my favorite movies: Little Nightmares reminds me of Pan's Labyrinth (2006), in that both are dealing with a young girl attempting to navigate an adult world that is horrific in both a literal and fantastical sense
Also his earlier film The Devil's Backbone and J. A. Bayona's The Orphanage.

Akira/Bladerunner > Cyberpunk 2077

I love Akira and Cyberpunk dearly and the easter eggs are so cool. Love when a game wears its inspirations on its sleeves

Sam Was Here is essentially Silent Hill but it's a desert town. I recommended it in another thread. Check it out if you like that sort of thing.

Yakuza - The Raid

When it comes to atmosphere specifically, I was shocked how similar The Mist felt to Silent Hill. It was one of my favorite things about it, actually.

The first Silent Hill movie was so close to being good. It kills it in atmosphere and then kills itself last 2/3 of the film by trying to explain Silent Hill rather than using Silent Hill as a medium for the horror.

Total Recall (original) - Red Faction
Legend of the Eight Samurai - Onimusha 2
Italian zombie movies from the 80s - original three Resident Evil games. The bad voice acting adds to that
The pig, the snake and the pigeon - the later slightly sillier Yakuza games. I’m not gonna spoil the movie, but the vibe is that of following a straight forward gangster story and then you start doing an absolutely insane sidequest before returning to the main plot.
Payback - Max Payne 1 and 2
