Well here is the Story most of my games and that for years that I buy are used to be honest I am not even sure when the last was when I bought a brand new sealed game... ::sailor-embarrassed well what can I say I am frugal and used games are often far cheaper and as long as the case is not to damaged and game works I am okay with it but I have to admit its a different feeling if you get the game brand new it feels better but with my budget I will stay by used games for example I got a game used for 25€ while for a brand new version people demanded 60-70€ which is a huge difference for me.
So what about you all do you buy your games more often used or brand new
well and of course there is the Digital option that would open up other well....em options but I mean games you buy physically.

Its a mix bag. But i rarely buy a game at launch the last game im buying at launch is Metroid Prime 4 and before that was Pikmin 4. I usually wait for a sale to buy my games now

Even with newer games, I tend to buy used. I’ve had a couple midnight launches and they were nice! But it was more nice because of the meeting and community aspect, not the games themselves.

Same especially nowadays with all the broken releases.
I just don't buy the hype for new games anymore and well then there is the pricing of course which makes me avoid them to.
The last new game was probably a couple of years back I think it was Odins Sphere for the Ps4 and Ni no kuni (was it new can't remember) since then its used and well what choice have I when I collect for Xbox360 anyhow but well I also just bought Valkyria Chronicles remake used for the Ps4 for Christmas.

Do you ever get curious saves on used games. I think that might be a little bit of a Plus to buying used.

many pluri used titles in my collection, i would like to know how many peoples touched them, like a sort of back story :)

even more when i was retrocollector, like many Megadrive cartridges a couple of years ago

new, almost nothing, just some extra cheap thing

>No piracy option
Technically speaking, I guess used counts since someone has been playing the source carts before they got dumped and spread online even if it was decades ago and I do buy used hardware.

There is not a Piracy option as I specifically meant physically and not Digital at least I hope you don't partake in physically pirating games from others matey.

Ha ha damn I guess I skimmed through too fast. Don't worry, all my piracy is digital.

How am I supposed to buy used games now that games are digital only?
Well, I mean, I guess some people still play on console...

So I can have them, then, yeah? ::firgirlsmirk

Most of the games I buy now are through Steam and GOG. I haven't owned a new physical console in forever (I just recently bought a PS2 Slim, but that was more than a few years ago and we used to get games in fairly steady for it)

But yeah, I prefer games on-sale or as cheap as humanly possible (around or under 10 usd is the sweet spot for me)

I've got about 200 games on Steam and got most of them for under 10 USD each (if regional pricing is considered) on sale. Sales are the way to buy games.

nay just because they are used means not that I am giving them away mate.

Ya Damn pirates eat my canon balls ;)
You can take my games only from my cold dead hands...
funny how you can re function certain phrases by changing them a little bit.

Well legally speaking I of course can't condone Piracy but at least you are not doing it in real life.
But the waves are of course plenty and well joining ......the Navy is not the worst Idea 😉
I've only got a phone and a laptop, so digital only. I guess that counts as brand new?
My good sir I did ask specifically about Physical games and not digital once how would you even buy a used digital game my friend so the question would be redundant as you only are able to buy a digital game new my good fella.

Ever heard of flea markets and a magical site called Ebay you can buy used games from there as used games are still sold and yes people still play on console and not just some there are many great consoles still worth playing on especially if you have a CRT TV the Gamecube Ps2 Xbox360 ps3 Wii Dreamcast are some and not all of the great consoles you still can play on.

I apologize, for I completely missed that part of your post. Thank you for pointing it out.
