As an Evil Dead fan in particular (I've only watched the first Halloween movie), this really let me down. We have better games like Evil Dead: Regeneration. It's hard to believe that Wayforward was involved in making these. After making a great game like the Mummy Demastered, as well as great Nintendo DS games like Thor: God of Thunder, Aliens Infestation, and Batman: The Brave and the Bold, I expected more from them

I kinda got bored of seeing the same games in such topics so I will just drop this just for sake of difference lol:

depends on the platform really but in terms of wasted potential, Space Jam 2

Most of the earlier HP games were usually pretty good (not 4) and ranged from action-adventure games on PC, Zelda-likes on console and straight up JRPG-styled on Gameboy. As a kid they were super immersive because they let you explore Hogwarts and the surrounding areas so much, so the line between the actual character Harry Potter and the player self-inserting as themselves got kinda blurred which was an amazing feeling growing up as a fan because it was the closest you could get to the wizarding world in a way.

This one was just Gears of War. With Kinect.

I get that the adventure formula wouldn't have worked for this kind of story, but it didn't need to be a cover shooter lol. Could've borrowed from the LotR Third Age game and made it a cool linear RPG instead.

If I really put an emphasis on "Dissapointing" and not "bad" then it must be DBZ: Kakarot for me.
It looks great, it´s so cool to fly around in the world of DBZ, the cutscenes look amazing, lots of fanservice...yet the gameplay itself leaves SO MUCH to be desired!

The fighting against goons is simple button mashing if you´re high enough level and pain if you´re low level.
The bosses look great but are a slog to fight against when they turn almost invincible for a minute or two if you beat them up a bit.
It´s no bad game definitely, but it´s disappointing that this game could´ve been so much more imo.

(It´s also the first game I platinumed but mainly because I am a big Dragonball nerd, if not for the license, I would not even have finished it tbh)

You nailed it.
I can't believe they managed to develop such a cumbersome battle system, took the fun out of the game almost immediately.

"Scooby Doo Mystery" on Super Nintendo. It's boring, repetitive, and easily the worst game that Argonaut Software hsd ever developed.

Ah the Infamous Harry Potter Call of Duty game

Continuation of 2 really good Godzilla game, full on terrible. Cutscenes are gone, just cheap flash comics strips now.
Terrible control scheme, you get a full work out and multiple wrist injuries by trying to pull off any attacks.
The motion control scheme also heavily simplified the attacks, while in the previous 2 games it was like in a standard fighting game.
Maps somehow feel emptier and more liveless than in the first game while being bigger.

Calling this one disappointing is an understatement!View attachment 115267
That game is legitimately unplayable, it has to be one of the worst games of that generation. God damn. All Spawn games fit the bill which is strange to me. The SNES game wasn't very good either, and Armageddon is at best meh. In the Demon's Hand is a bizarre fever dream at least, but it's not good.

I'm surprised no one has brought this up yet;

Honestly anything about 4th Harry Potter were bad for me. The book was rubbish, the movie was rubbish, its games were rubbish... and I can't decide which one is the worst!!!! Usually when the book and movies shit hard at leasts Harry Potter games can be better but not when it's the bloody 4th!!! Even while reading the books back then you could be so sure that the writer really just done with this story and want it to end, but want to make more money before the whole series goes shit she kept writing to drag the whole book on and on. In the end it's a book about utter nothingness (It's a pointless book in the series if you don't care about the lore). I dare say to claim 4th book and therefore its movies and games never happened lol.

I appreciate the vibe in the fourth film (film specifically, it's a thousand times better than the book) if only as a setup for the bigger overarching story that Voldemort's resurrection entails, and how the main cast are like stuck between being kids and having to deal with wizard nazis reappearing, everything prior could have been seen as shitty happenstances but now suddenly people are getting really fucking sick of this Potter dork fucking up their school year. It's a story about puberty, where the whole franchise also goes through puberty in a way lol

Just sucks they did that lame bargain bin top-down action game thing with it.

Ps2 version controls better, and that port is just a re-skinned Save The Earth, but without the extra characters from the Wii.
Maps are lifeless because of it's somewhat apocalyptic setting: Giant Crystals crash down to earth, causing natural disasters and making the Monsters go crazy.

Still, Ps2's fine, it's this Wii port you need to worry about.

Home Alone on NES. All you do is run around the house set the traps for three times and survive for 20 real minutes for one crappy ending screenshot. This was Bethesda at its worst even though they were founded in 1990.
