Good choice! Luca Blight was one of the first people to come to mind when I made this topic. To say he's an irredeemable bastard is not even close to getting across how much of a monster he is. x) The only molecule of decency he has is how he treats Jillia. The boss fight(s) against him are my favorite in the series. They're pretty easy if you know to prepare for them, but my first time through I got spanked pretty hard, just barely eking out a victory. But when you know what you're in for, he stands no chance...

Another one came to mind. Huey motherfucking Emmerich from Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker & 5. If you know, you know. He seemed like a decent enough guy in Peace Walker, but it would take a fucking essay to explain how much of a piece of shit he became in 5. In short, he betrayed basically everyone, is a murderer, sells out his allies for personal gain and he never once owns up to his mistakes, claiming his innocence and blaming everyone else for what would eventually become his downfall. Luckily for him he was saved from execution by nature of the game being a prequel and would eventually die like a bitch from drowning in a swimming pool. Too bad it didn't happen sooner. Good thing Otacon turned out to be a good person despite having trash as a father.

Gee willikers! I knew 5 had some troubles, but I didn't know they ran that deep. Those are some... interesting advancements in the plot as well. Soulcalibur 5 really was the biggest damp squib of the series. I played the hell out of all the prior games, but 5 just never caught my attention. I've been enjoying 6 a lot though. I will not complain about soft rebooting the series, but I will complain about them not including Aeon in 6. Boooo.

hopefully aeon will get included in the next installment. he wasn't a bad character from what i recall. a bit weird not to include him in the first place. i did find it interesting that he dual wields in 5 where he used a sword and shield fighting style previously. i guess he crosses paths with kratos in the psp game and thought two weapons were better than one.

You know all those top 10 evil villains that always have the same characters? I bet if they played more games for once theyd realize she's way more evil than half their list
Even before finding out about soul edge she was an assassin from a secret clan since birth
After it dissolved she would still keep killing anyone who crossed on a whim, thats just what she enjoyed
Once hearing about Nightmare she only thought "finally someone like me"

i doubt most of those people actually played a few games, let alone enough to find 10 villains for their top ten lists.
the most they've played was probably pac-man and galaga. they just probably skimmed the internet for lists already made and did some copying and pasting.
you could make a thread here on the site and 10 different people would give you about 100 different characters with maybe 20 overlapping from general consensus.

Spoiler: Absolutely Gargantuan Spoilers for everything past the halfway point of the game, even saying when that is is in of itself a spoiler

lets list all out everything she does
1.) Impersonates a Guardian Angel to trick and deceive Agnes and Co
2.) Destroys The Crystals to destabilase the World setting it on a path towards destruction
3.) Kills The party and a lot of other people to achieve all this in brutal and sadistic ways
4.) The first 3 again, repeated billions or even trillions of times
5.) Callous disregard for the wellbeing of all others except for herself
6.) Gladly, GLEEFULLY, does all this why? Because She felt like it, not just in service to her boss Ouroboros, who is just as callous, cruel, and selfish as her


it is because of this game that I now instinctively distrust cute little helper characters, the game itself even tries to warn you about her itself on the title screen with changing the subtitle from "Where the Fairy Flies" to "Airy Lies" I don't think any media I ever interact with after that game will have a better or more hateable twist villain. Yes the game does have pacing issues starting in chapter 5, but man that Finale makes it mostly worth it.

But seriously Screw Airy: That Lying, Backstabbing, Motherless, Creature deserves to rot in the deepest pit of hell for all eternity and then some.

I have hated Oswell Spencer ever since I played the first Resident evil remake. Aside from his plans to become the ruler of mankind leading to all the horrible experiments Umbrella would conduct, I specifically started despising him after getting the full story behind Lisa Trevor and her family. Funnily enough he has only appeared in the series physically only once in RE5( as far as I know). His impact is felt more in the games because of his actions and goals rather than his actual presence.

Oof, yeah, that was a real fucked up story. D: They didn't even do anything wrong, except for George Trevor knowing too much about the mansion since he designed it. I can't say I feel too bad about Spencer wasting away before getting dispatched by Wesker. I guess it's good he existed though, we wouldn't have Resident Evil without him!

This guy wanted to chisel my gravestone so i could sleep well, and DAMN his VA said it in the most awesome way i ever saw that i quote that line in most of my matches, be it a fighting game or an fps.

Also he might be Dracula´s glorified errand boy and bodyguard, but nonetheless he is my personal fav since Rondo, yeah he might not be the main villain in any castlevania game (yeah he plays an important role in lords of shadows) BUT be honest, every time you saw this pile of bones in a robe you knew things were going to get DEATHLIER!

And to my absolute GOAT, he rebelled against mankind, his goal to beat X and conquer the planet and eliminate the organic life in it, we owe him both the Maverick and Elf wars, and also might be one of the only robots in the history of the Megaman series to always step up and almost wipe out both heroes, ladies and gentlemen, the sum of all evil, SIGMA!

Riccardo Belli from Haunting ground. The rest of the villians in that game aren't any better, especially Lorenzo, but Riccardo stands out because what he does to the protagonist, Fiona, in his bad ending, is one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen happen in a game.

Spoiler: The hardest ending to get in Haunting Ground, for good reason.

For reference, he impregnates her by IVF on screen, but given some of the noises he makes over her corpse if you game over to him besides that bad end, and his creepy grin as he caresses her face after his goal is fulfilled, I don't think rape off screen is out of the question. Fiona, by the way, is his niece. She naturally literally goes laughing mad in that ending.

This guy is so awful, he made me symphatise with the previous Mavericks wanting to wipe out humans, because it's clear that they had some point in that humans would never accept them. Of course by ZX it doesn't end up working out that way, but if it hadn't been Ciel who helped mankind flourish after that timeline, would that have been the case? People had the gall to say X was the only reploid to ever care for them, after all.

Also, doesn't hold a candle to the other Vile in the series.

He was a good reploid before the virus took over him, and before Gate went and fixed him up nicely, there was barely anything more than virus remaining anyway. It's not like Vile (the awesome one) who went maverick out of his own will. So heh, I blame Zero for this one.
