Just thought I'd bake a new bread since the last time this topic came up about 6 months ago
Anyway, for me it's Medarot9 Kuwagata Ver. for the 3ds. Unfortunately, it looks dead and nobody is coming for the base files to finish :(

It's still playable and probably not too difficult assuming there is a walkthrough somewhere. It really is a shame that practically the entire series was left in Japan.

What games do you have at version <1 anxiously waiting for the final release?

For me it has to be trails in the sky 3rd chapter(psp), it probably won't get translated but MAN do i wish for it to get a full on translation

still waiting for digimon story super xros wars.

i don't know who work on medarot 9, but project rising beetle is working on 4 now after 3.

I put down a bunch of games that I wanted fan translated before I realised that you're talking about ongoing games like MMOs or gacha games. I'll leave the games up just in case it causes someone to look into them

But for the actual question:

As you can see, two of those three are mobile games, fuck region locking, CAVE drop your shit, it might sell in the United States of Weeaboo

what made you "realise" that? My example was a 3ds game and I said:
The “Version < 1” was how I came to the conclusion.
I thought of Dragon Quest X for the 3DS and thought that maybe 3DS Medabots had some sort of ongoing online or something.

Version <(less than) 1 means it's incomplete, my friend. All the games you mentioned are >v1
You could technically say gacha games are incomplete, but I see your point now. My bad for misreading it so godawfully. Luckily 2 of those games I listed happen to still apply lmao.

I listed Tales of Destiny 2 and Segagaga above so I think they technically count given that neither translation are complete or even out in some way

The other 2 (Oreshika and Kencha Bancho) as well as those 3 ongoing games don’t have any fan translation in the works as far as I’m concerned

It's ... not actually happening... but golly, would I lose my shit if there were and Eldorado Gate translation...

Honestly, I just wish more PC-98 games would get translated. I know that system has a reputation for eroge, and that's certainly a lot of what was made, but not all of the games are risque and there are some genuinely interesting bits of gaming history trapped on it. And the art was always gorgeous - those pixel artists really knew what they were doing, and I think it's a damn shame that most people outside of Japan have such a hard time accessing them in an intelligible way.
