Notice this is available on PS Plus and its a holiday in the uk tomorrow meaning ill have time to play.
Whats your thoughts on this 1 for anyone whos played. Capcom behind it they know how to make a
good game.

It's basically the most Action-Oriented Monster Hunter compared to all of MH-Series out there (Yes even Wilds and no not like Frontier)

It's fun, many things that makes up a Monster Hunter is pretty much simplified for the sake of its Combat (It's the focus anyway in this game) Sarcastically you can even call this as Monster Fighter if you want, that basically what it is anyway.

If you want to get into it i'd say go for it Recommended for sure, but don't expect the level of detail like in MH:Wilds or MH:World, after all it's originally a Switch's Game.

I enjoyed my time with Rise, but I'm not the biggest expert on the series either. It's a fun game though.

I've played every MH since Freedom Unite, and I love this game. It strips a lot of what I love about Monster Hunter out of the game, but you can turn some of those settings off (follow arrow and HUD mini map, basically most of the default HUD) to bring iback the original feel. The fights are great and it looks great even on switch, I'm sure it will be beautiful on PS5. Definitely worth your time.

It's a good game , the game is made with portability in mind making the hunts faster because of this

I have a switch and fancied it for the switch to be honest but i seen it pop up for PS Plus extra so why not.

i played it on switch and ps5. good game, endgame is mostly just tedious though. was worth it for the best charge blade skills ever, though they're tied to sunbreak.

I have it on PC and honestly my most diked monster hunter game honestly I rather play MH4.
Rise feels like a NDS game ported to other consoles. AND DEAR god to I hate the endless sinning in the background of the town if you don´t go in to your tent and change it. Or the Endless sinning when you make food or the stupid fake Japanese old movie intro when ever you start a new quest. Im glad you can skipp it but man.

Oh also I hate the Wire bugs allot.

Rise to me feels like Monster hunter for 8 year olds. A bit like how Atlus madeShin Megami Tensei: Devil Children which is basicly shin megami tensi but for kids.

from my time with it on PC is not bad, but man you can tell its a switch game with how limited or dated it feels next to MH World, alot less detail in the world and trying to get monsters to fight each other like in world is almost impossible, i played it till i beat the poster monster then dipped out.

not a bad game, just lacking imo

only mechanic i CAN say i liked was the monster control gimmick, whenever i did it successfully i was like:

Sci Fi N7 GIF by Mass Effect

It was alright, but I was kind of disappointed with it.
I liked the dog and I liked spider-manning (outside of fights), but I didn't like how fast paced it was, and the twinkle bugs you collect on the maps felt counterintuitive for me. Also not a huge fan of the not-japan setting.

I hear Sunbreak made it way better, but I never got that far.
