Punch out has no QTE whatsoever.

Ready 2 Rumble is much more like what Punch out for Sega hardware was like with how you built up a power meter and special attacks.

I meant what if Punch Out wasn’t constrained to one setting and had more moves and stuff, I didn’t explain that one well. Honestly writing all of that was a mistake in hindsight, I’m going off of some kind of point I can’t even remember now and trying to salvage it.

Never heard of Ready 2 Rumble somehow, I’ll have to look at that someday

I'd say Shadow Complex is a good metroid replacement as well.
