I find kinda strange there's not one of these already, so let's start one. Have you been playing something lately?

Any current WoW players here? What are your opinions on the Undermine patch?

Reporting in, though I've been on a break so I haven't played the Undermine patch yet. I love Goblins though and it looks really cool, but I got sort of burnt out on War Within. I'll probably try the patch out in a while but whenever I play WoW I get absorbed and can't play anything else so I need to wait for the right time haha.

I get ya. I only got until 5/8 HC on Anub'ar Palace before getting burned out. The Undermine zone is pretty cool and super detailed to be fair, and the soundtrack is among the best they've ever done, although I can't avoid feeling like there's a lot of missing potential (as with a lot of stuff in WoW lmao), like more varied side-content, minigames, a goblin casino (!!!!)...

The new raid is just okay, but boss mechanic are still unoriginal and I got burned out again, this time only 2/8 HC. I'll probably wait until the next big patch or Midnight entirely, because I'm really looking forward to Housing.

but whenever I play WoW I get absorbed and can't play anything else

This is SO real. I hate how WoW absorbs me and I stop playing other games or attending other hobbies

the last expantion i played was dragon flight and it was bad, i played some other mmos after that like linage 2, haven & earth, throne and liberty which was disappointing also i played a lot of mobile mmos back in the day ha ha

Ex-Ragnarok Online player reporting

Loved korean MMOs when they were new but looking back, most of them were grindfests that required tons of hours just to get a few levels or good equips.

I also played FFXIV till middle Shadowbringers but unfortunetly couldn't afford the subscription nor had the time to play. Still, awesome game and gunbreaker is one of the most fun and interesting jobs in all FF history.

I skipped that one almost entirely, only played the last two months of s4 to get the M+ and awakened raids achievements. It didn't feel like I missed anything too important

Gotta continue with this one, I left it at the Heavensward post-story. Although about the classes I've heard that they've lost a lot of identity over the years (as it already happens in WoW)

yeah, you didnt, and it was the worst expansion for pvp content

i only played the free trial version and its top there, a little bit lower than old wow
(as it already happens in WoW)
thats why i play on private servers these days, solo craft, tutle wow and acsention

Well, TWW is already quite bad for PvP for what I've played hahah Immortal healers, non-stop CCs, massive health pools... Doesn't help that I main enha shaman which is in a rough position for PvP
tutle wow
I love this server, went totally nuts and became addicted when I discovered it like 2 or 3 years ago, some of the best "vanilla" experience I've ever had

That just shows how badly talent trees are designed. In Dragonflight, everything was one shot, and healing wasn't worth it. damage roles were healing as much as healers or tanking as much as tanks without giving any damage also i remember fist weaver, a mist monk with damage talent you were guaranteed to win every arena

yeah, me too. i also play SoloCraft when i wanna chill its a vanilla wow with bots so you can play solo, and Ascension when i want pvp content

This sounds interesting, might try it someday
Just waiting for FFXIV mobile
Curious about how this ends up turning out, I believe it's the first MMO of that size and importance to ever get a mobile port (if you don't count OSRS/RS3)

albion online has a mobile port too; its great so far from what i see. i hope we get a f2p version tho

Ah true, forgot about that one. Hope for f2p version too, although let's hope they keep their word about mtx
mtx? What do they say about it? and i love mobile MMOs. I played a lot of them back then, big potential and really fun, corrupted by big companies
i played crusader of light most of times also world of kings and dragon raja

Well, jobs did become more "homogenized". All tanks are very similar just like all healers are similar and DPS are similar, with only a few differences here and there.

They also streamlined jobs to the point playing them at a reasonable level is not that difficult.

I think the main philoshopy beheind FFXIV's gameplay it not mastering a job but mastering the mechanics. The skills "required" to play high-end content lies on your knowledge of the content, coordination and decision-making while playing your job flawlessly takes a backseat.

Well, that I can get behind, honestly. Some WoW class rotations have become absurdly convoluted, can feel like I'm fighting my keyboard more than the boss

Talking about class/jobs, I got whiplashed with this new recently

Tibia was the first MMO I've ever played (Tibia 7.4 or something) and, although I didn't really played too much, from time to time I like to see how it is doing.

Never tried it, apparently it's super complex and confusing. I tried Ultima Online not too long ago and was so overwhelmed and lost

I don't think is really that complicated.

I played when I was 10 with barely any english knowledge but it was enough to get me through the game. There weren't many guides online (much less in portuguese) and I mostly relied on word-of-mouth and tips from older friends, so I guess it can't be that complex.
