Alexandra Pikrammenos (yes, she had a name) appeared so much in the Phantom Pain trailers that I theorized a more significant role for her: Venom Snake's personal nurse and confidante when he enters the Diamond Dogs.

Sadly, Kojima betrayed me again and I was forced to say goodbye to her early.

Princess Ruto from Ocarina of Time. Despite the fact that she probably has a cloaca and it probably smells really fishy, I thought she made for a more compelling love interest than Zelda herself.

The Colonel/Colonel X in Shadows of the Damned. Dumps his entire backstory, and gets killed before the second big boss battle. Sad see this guy go, but he looked like a take that towards 3rd person shooter cover protags. Though apparently the inside joke is that his Japanese voice actor, Hirota Kousei, voiced Marcus Phoenix. I like his design, and still felt bad for the guy.
