Anyone else really love when games do this?
Basically settings where you're really small in a familiar setting, whether it's being shrunk down, already being small, or heck... even being normal size in a WORLD where everything else is huge!

I've always loved this setting, especially when it's set in more realistic or familiar settings. It puts such a different perspective on surroundings, doing unique and interesting things with what has become mundane. Getting to use everyday tiny items as weapons and things is especially cool and fun.

Some examples range from Twisted Metal 4's Bedroom...

...to Little Nemo's toy train level...

...Chip n' Dale on NES is pretty much ALL like this...

...as is Small Saga, even letting you use common objects as equipment...

...and let's not forget Pikmin!

I really enjoy it. That's part of what makes Minish Cap so neat. Normal enemies could be a lot more threatening when you're tiny.

Yeah, twisted metal: small brawl too, I still remember the guy from the kitchen stage ?

I really love this too. While the games were kinda hit and miss, I loved it when the Army Men games had levels set in the real world.
I was always curious about those games, but I've never actually played any. I guess it makes sense they'd be full of that, though.

One of the many reasons I really want to get around to Minish Cap.

I enjoy that too. If I remember correctly, you could do something like that in the Simpsons hit and run for the PS2... I really can't remember if that was the game or not but I have a memory of running around as a mini person killing people with a flame thrower...... and I know it was a cheat code because my friend showed it to me..... now I'm going to be on the hunt for this game

It can be fun if done well, some examples that I like:
There is Mr. Mosquito on the ps2.
There are some radio controlled racing games like the already mentioned Re-Volt.
Micro machines series.
Duke Nuken 3d and forever did it too
I guess you could put the Katamari Damacy games in this "genre".

This only happens temporarily but there is a moment in Final Fantasy 3 where you will need to shrink the party and the boss is a normal sized rat.

A neat idea but got annoying having to forcibly make my whole party magic users.

I admit it took me some a hot minute to understand what you really meant, but now that my neurons have connected properly, I can answer. The whole Micro Machines franchise is built upon this premise, it's quite clever.

Oh it's a very annoying part of the game but I love the idea.

Oh and I almost forgot about the Hot Wheels Stunt Track Driver games!

Must have been incredibly funny. I take Bond's hitbox also becomes tiny to match the model?
Yes. Goldeneye's hitboxes were always consistent with the model. Doing "Slappers only" in multiplayer while one player is Odd Job is like chasing a toddler with a knife around a wal-mart.

This made me seriously laugh loudly. I guess that's why Oddjob is banned in competitive settings (from what I've read at least).

Also some PC games draw into that idea like Empires of the Undergrowth and Grounded (though be mindful about playing these if you are triggered by gigantic looking insects, arachnids and assorted flora.

This was probably the best thing to ever come out of a cereal box  Great game as far as FMV games go
I agree and the sound track/sound effects still live rent free in my head.
