Restores the cut song “Thriller” and sound effects from the prototype to the 3rd level of the game. "Thriller" was not actually written by MJ, and the devs didn't know this, so at the last minute there was a rights issue, and SEGA had to remove it from the game, which is why the 3rd level is still clearly a "Thriller" level even though the song wasn't in the final game. "Kids Can't Hide from Michael Jackson" is my favorite MJ song.

So you one of those who believes that stuff happened (despite the accusers having been proven to be frauds with ever changing stories and huge financial motives, going back to Evan Chandler who even admitted in his brother's book he'd been demanding millions of dollars from Jackson before he made up the allegations about his kid Jordan) but you like to make "jokes" about it? One way I think this hack could've been better is if they kept both, maybe have Anoyher Part of Me play during the credits instead of Smooth Criminal, or during the robot transformation? I dunno. It would be cool to have more Micheal Jackson 16bit.

Wasn't Another Part of Me in that Disney thing, Captain Eo? Which was sorta MJ meets Star Wars? What if that song was put into a new bonus stage set in Captain Eo (since MJ did turn into a spaceship in Moonwalker and fly off for a while). Ok, creating a whole new level with new graphics and enemies and such would be a lot more work than switching out a music file, sure, but there are rom hackers who have done absolutely amazing things so it's not impossible.

Neat. This game's difficulty spike is still ridiculous though. Not only the zombies jump all over the stage, some of them send their torsos flying towards to attack you.

Me too actually, I have 3 Moonwalker cartridges and I don't want to put this patch on any of them.

t's too weird for me without that song. But I figure a lot of people would find this patch exciting and it obviously was supposed to have Thriller in the first place.

Not the best way. The best one is where the real studio tracks were added into the game.

I much prefer playing a videogame with videogame music honestly. The arrangements are really good and deserve to be preserved and remembered.

But yeah, for those interested, an accompanying patch in this same posting on RHDN also allows you to play with real MJ album versions; the patch on RHDN says it includes instructions but didn't appear to. I don't know if it requires MD+ or what.
