I just hope the bike stuff is only for traversal too different biomes, i hope its not like Batman Arkham Knight were you have to constantly use it all the time. At least Sylux is the main threat still.

Y’know I’m so used to that green tag being “Random” that I spent a solid second looking for the punchline until I realized oh shit it’s actually a regular switch thread haha

You know its serious when Neby makes a thread about a game instead of constant shitposting. ::chocobo-dance

It still pique my interest, well, it will need to exit from safe zone because market is changed. Any new metroid is better than no more metroid. I wish they can execute well

I expect the game to be on par with Prime 3 more or less, "Good" but not "Great". It feels as though Nintendo's shying away from showing too much, which can mean one of two things. Either the game is so humdrum average that they don't 'want' to show much, or they want to keep some amazing scenery and setpieces a secret. Prior to Mario Kart World I would have assumed the latter, now I'm not so sure.

I don't own a Switch 2 and I highly doubt I will ever buy one, maybe a few years down the line during a Black Friday IF the library is good enough, but if I was one of those suckers who bought this thing at launch, despite the heavy backlash and poor business practices Nintendo's been up to, I'd be feeling buyers remorse right about now.

First it was the Mario characters, then it was Link and now it's Samus. What Nintendo franchise is getting a motorbike next?

While a more open design fits Metroid more than other game series, I’m worried about this being a continued direction beyond this game. Not every title needs an open world, especially when most of them struggle to answer the question: what do we put in one to make it worth your time?

My main hope is that the cool psychic stuff can blend puzzles and action together, as that was an issue in later Prime games. Many abilities would be either exclusively for combat or exclusively for puzzles, and ultimately neither side would benefit from divorcing the other.

Finally, I want to care about Sylux. It would be awesome to get another cool Metroid villain, and after Raven Beak stole the show with very little screen time, Sylux has a lot to live up to.
