I like the cutscenes more ;(
It was really funny when my Xbox kept going idle while the mgs3 cutscenes played out
Gave me time to eat too which is mad funny
Also my autocorrect keeps spelling cutscenes as cuteness
Mgs4 is the best cuteness simulator

I honestly hate mgs4, it's the only one I don't like.
I thought the story was terrible. It's like Kojima gave himself too many loose ends and decided to tie them all up in the laziest way possible, some things that weren't even loose ends had to be tied. Everything and everyone in the past 3 games had to be somehow reconnected to the story in a major way so it all looks like a huge genius conspiracy that Kojima had been planning all along:

Big Boss has died and come back to life twice now and was apparently alive the whole time

With no hints to these being true in the previous games, it's obvious these were just lazy retcons.
It wouldn't be a problem if the gameplay was the main focus but most of the game is just a long, terrible movie.
The gameplay in the first 2 missions was fantastic though.

I honestly hate mgs4, it's the only one I don't like.

Your not alone on that one.

I love MGS but 4 is the very weakest of the main bunch, besides the flashback level, nearly every zone was super generic, bland, some washed out & ultimately forgettable. this goes double for most of the bosses with the exception of one in the flashback level.

Sure the cutscenes & story were fair play but everything else sandwiched inbetween (& let's be real...I have to look at it as an entire package here) is a big load of bleh for me personally.

I Played that one until I met Raiden,
unfortunately it wasn't the GOOD Raiden

I hated that winey brat so much I never played again. So I have

You really should try to finish it. Raiden isn't bad at all , especially compared to today's AAA characters lol. I would HIGHLY recommend you finish MGS2, it's the most fun I've had playing an MGS game.

I have MGS2 in the Master Collection for my PC, once I finish the GLORY that
is MGS Delta I'm installing. Thanks for the sage advice.

I keep meaning to pick up delta. Especially so I can try the online portion. I have a couple ps2 copies including the one with the Ape escape levels in it from when I was a kid!

Which reminds me, how badass was the skateboarding minigame in mgs2 substance?

2 was my first metal gear. Once you get to know Raiden he's not a bad character at all. There's alot to him, and he feels like sort of a representation of the player wanting to be Snake, at least in 2. He kind of went on to become Grey Fox which is also a cool nod

Raiden plays way better than Snake though, you can do flips and lots of cooler acrobatics. And he doesn't whine a lot, that's Rose.

There is a boss in mgs2 that deals electricity, so it's not something entirely not dealt with. But I think MK Raiden would probably still win. Imagine the codec calls? Lmao
