Super cool concept!
Glad to see I'm not the only person with the roguelike brainrot where I can't help but wonder how whatever I'm playing would be like if it was a roguelike.

let me clarify that i'm justing sharing the news, i'm not the developer lol;
the Hotfix 2 is out to try :)

This is pretty awesome. I also think this would work wonderfully if they used the GBC game.

Hey! Creator of the fangame here! Here's a new devlog (also some fixes have been added):

Have any gameplay videos to show us?
Yeah, the official trailer for the game:

If you're talking about gameplay focusing only on that update then no. But the update its just the base game with minor fixes and improvements, nothing significant

Hi
thank you for sharing also here!
can i request a zipped files folder instead of a setup exe?
like it was your first build, i prefer that way

i'll do some tries with the update asap thanks
Yeah, of course! I've just uploaded it so you can check it out

tried a bit ago :)
i like the fixes, the game is fun, and the music/sfx are powerful

one thing, i'm playing with an i5 PC + xbox360 controller, and everything is running even too much fast;
i'll try to explain, if i want just to adjust a bit the camera using the right analog stick, it is problematic because just with a little stick movement the camera rotates a lot.
Same for Snake and enemies movement (in a minor way btw)

nontheless fun

Yeah, the Camera Sensitivity is something I've been grappling with. Next update will have both Mouse and Controller sensitivity options. Thanks for the feedback!

It instantly reminded me of VR missions. I love these kind of games, so I’m absolutely trying this.

Hello, I made a new update including some of the changes suggested:

nice one!
better version here so far, everything is surely less 'nervous' than before :)

Do it yourself I guess?

Does the hack have a full gameplay loop?

I'm not interested in bug testing a hobby project.

Video proof of the game being complete-able in some way adds confidence to the project.

If I may drag you on a tangent, do you dislike level or floor-based roguelite games that continue, repeat biome types, and escalate indefinitely rather than simply ending at the end of the final and most intense biome?

there is a random variable into this, as starting point and other things always change in each play;
to me is it like vr missions but with the ingame graphics, each play could require from 10 mins to an half hour

First of all, yes its a hobby project. If not, it wouldn't be based on a Konami IP but an original one.
It does have a full gameplay loop as shown in the trailer.
Sneak around -> Interrogate guards -> Complete the mission -> Escape.
Also, the trailer shows that you can complete a mission. Its a free game made with Unity, if you want to play it, play it, if you don't just don't
