I've played the base game once and that's fine, but with the Not Quite DX patch, it has several necessary improvements and a smoother experience for the game that make it look like a superior version of the original game itself.

Does it have the undub patch applied?
IIRC, the localization removed the voice instead of dubbing it like Star Force 3.

Confirmed, it doesn't have the undub patch applied.
Had to unpack the Japanese version of the ROM and transplant it here manually. LMAO

Ah finally, still hoping that Prof. 9 makes a full DX patch for this game eventually, it really needs polish in many, many ways, but this patch genuinely improves the experience A LOT (Not having random battles every 5 seconds through the whole game), so I would recommend it to anyone as their main way of playing SF2.
