There’s just something so entertaining about scary things , I love sharing and hearing about childhood fears. (Perhaps because it brings back that feeling of telling scary stories around a campfire)

For me I was scared of the “Hell Toupee” from “Amazing Stories”, always had a fear of losing control, same reason I was terrified of zombies. Also the episode “Thanksgiving”

The first episode “The Tale of the Phantom Cab” of “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” horrified me, more specifically the part where the cab driver twists his head around. Also the ending of the “The Tale of the Pinball Wizard” (pretty sure my first crush was the prom queen from “The Tale of the Prom Queen”)

Koh from “Avatar: The Last Airbender” scared me, I remember that whole part like a fever dream

Ironically I don’t remember being scared by any video games, perhaps I just didn’t play enough horror.

There was a song on the halo 2(?) soundtrack that scared me so much I would tear off my headphones when it got to a certain part.

I believe it was a slower variation of the main theme, except all the voices would start shrieking until it sounded like a ghost or something, then they would abruptly stop and start over in a melancholic version of the halo ce theme.

I can't remember what it was called and nothing on the ost sounds quite right. Maybe it wasn't halo 2?

Courage the Cowardly Dog, the episode of the harvest moon I believe it was called marked me, the spirit of the moon was a shocker to me, it was pale floating head, with black lips and completely black eyes like a black hole, the grim voice really upset me, couldn't help but to keep staring the screen despite the sheer sensation of fear the thing was giving me and if I recall the show had already a couple years and before I never was scared of an episode, until that day.

Those weird ass animations movie like Sharkboy and LavaGirl... man, they use to give me the chills.... plus any horror game for the PS2, i remember i never finished RE: Code Veronica because i would almost always shit my pants

I literally first learned about the concept of death by getting knocked into an acid bath by Scorpion in SNES Mortal Kombat 2 at way too young to be playing MK lol. That and Shao Kahn's voice freaked baby me out quite a bit.

Brazil had some horror antologies back then but i think most of them are lost media.

The one i remember the most was about a wooden sword that whatever you said something while holding it the opposite would happen. The end of the story the kid with the sword and his friend where having a fight over the sword and once the kid tried to hit the other with it the other holded it to defend and both screamed "GO AWAY" and both lost all movement over their bodies while they slowly turned to stone while looking at each other in the eye.

One i can find in the internet and remember the name is this one

Paranormal Activity... my cousin made me watch it. Oh boy she was something.
