Mascots RGT Could use if RGT wants to

As has been said before, we already have a mascot, as well as artists that could draw other characters with more personality and character than whatever an AI prompt spits out. Not that I think mascots for each area are really needed in general, a forum by nature is clean and simple with minimal clutter. I'm not sure where they would fit in. I suppose you could have a banner above each sub-category page housing the list of threads for that category, but it would take away from the clean, minimalist look. Plus it seems like it would make more sense to have more video game and retro gaming characters fill that niche, since it's largely a retro gaming forum.

They are adorable @Retro Doomer I will say that first and foremost.
But the site I don't think, or rather the threads and sub-threads, need mascots. They would work more in favor on an anime site. And if they were going to use mascots here for that, they would be more video game-related.

For example, in the Nintendo section, Mario would be the obvious choice as he is, in fact, the mascot for the greedy Bastards Err, I mean Nintendo. Again, your characters are adorable, but I just personally don't see them as being needed here.

Well nobody is forced to use them you also could see them as concept art if anybody wants to actually draw them which would make them not AI art anymore,besides I use AI art as I can't draw and I can't afford hiring a Artist either but I still wanted to share my Idea.

I don't think AI generated mascots would be liked by many users here

RGT-tan is already our mascot and we aren't in need of more , it doesn't feel retro you know? why would a website that focuses on archiving relics from the 80s/90s use a tool from 2025 or 2023? It doesn't feel fitting.....

Personally i find AI art to be vastly inferior to anything made by actual humans , we already have an artist brigade I'm sure @Nebulon_Galaxy or @MasterEn can draw some good RGT art if they wanted to

Well and some Users dislike Anime yet we have a anime sub forum and then there are Users who dislike Mega Drive or SNES or specific Gaming Consoles yet we have threads for them and talk about them.
Same with Ps5 most dislike the console yet we can talk about it..just because some people dislike something does not mean we have to eradicate something.

Also in Regards of technology your take does not make sense the Website already uses Technology that is past the 80s and 90s or do you even have seen how the Websites looked back then.
And its not contrary to use modern tools to achieve older stuff.

I already said they were cute, and they are, but you're never going to convince most users here that they need them, and most don't want them. It's a sad thing, but you're kind of pissing in the wind about it.

There is a reason why I try to keep my AI stuff to a certain standard and don't post stuff that I think turned out bad which can take many attempts of Generating and even outright editing my stuff afterwards in some cases just to get a Quality I am okay with before I post it.

and you aren't required to use painting tools to make art. i use pencil, pens, color pencils, markers and digital programs to make my drawings.

Here and there for years now.
I did not improve and loose the drive or run out on paper.
Normally when I try to draw something it takes quite a while I don't look at glock but I guess about a hour or more,depending on the picture.
I also tried paint with em mixed results.

Yeah that is about right and I did draw quite often just not objects or people this is why my skills regarding this sucks but I did draw Landmasses maps you could day and it did improve a lot since I started it.
