Mascots RGT Could use if RGT wants to

[Retro Doomer]

I generated some girls that I thought would make some cute Mascots for the various subforums like Games/Literature/General Talk/Music

I also wanted to flesh them out a bit more and so I try it here

Hatsune Kamazake

She is a video Game nerd to the bone and collects every game and console on the planet
her fascination with games can come across as fanatic to some,she also is a Introvert and prevers
spending her time at home playing video games,she a Energetic way of talking about games but has little interest
in anything non gaming related.

Gretchen Schäfer

She is not very social and prefers her solitude and large amount of books,
she is a Bookworm in the truest sense of the word she can spend hours and days just reading books.
She knows every Author even the Indie ones that nobody knows,she loves Crime books and Mystery books.
With a secret love for Manga,she shines when it comes at talking about books and literature,she has a very dry humor.

Sonja Schäfer

She is the little sister of Gretchen,she is very shy and timid she loves dogs and adorable things
she has a sweet tooth and can't stand spicy stuff.She loves helping and listening to people
despite her very shy nature she is a bit of a clumps she can't stand rudeness and conflict
and she always tries to see both sides when trying to make peace between two parties.

Hamari Nakata

She is a very sweet and kind soul she is very relaxed and often just goes with the flow.
She is a Guitarist and loves music she believes Music can heal and calm once soul.
She is always ready to help someone in need and she always has a open ear.
She loves fruits and she loves Pineapples the most she calls her Guitar Hikari (Light) as she wants to bring light to people trough her Music.

True but in regards of those Mascots I thought more of them representing specific sub forums like General Talk or Manga/Comic books and so on instead of being a mascot for the whole site.

That does seems like a good idea. The Forum Games & Chatter mascot should be a funny, cheerful jester girl. And she has a box of memes.

But the site I don't think, or rather the threads and sub-threads, need mascots. They would work more in favor on an anime site. And if they were going to use mascots here for that, they would be more video game-related.

For example, in the Nintendo section, Mario would be the obvious choice as he is, in fact, the mascot for the greedy Bastards Err, I mean Nintendo. Again, your characters are adorable, but I just personally don't see them as being needed here.

She loves pranks and good jokes she is always there when you need a fun time she is a good DM (DUNGEON MASTER) and she loves tabletop games and playing with people in General she is the queen of memes as she calls herself,her favorites are Tomatoes and cream pie.She can get a bit overenthusiastic when she plays games
She loves her coffee extra sweet with enough sugar to keep a elephant awake.

Yeah probably I probably should have clarified that those mascots would be more for the sub forums.

No shame on the fandom types, but us casuals might be put off by those visuals.

I like Simon Belmont, or maybe even the warrior from Final Fantasy (the black or white mage could work also). Maybe someone could cook up an original 16-bit mascot?

RGT-tan is already our mascot and we aren't in need of more , it doesn't feel retro you know? why would a website that focuses on archiving relics from the 80s/90s use a tool from 2025 or 2023? It doesn't feel fitting.....

Personally i find AI art to be vastly inferior to anything made by actual humans , we already have an artist brigade I'm sure @Nebulon_Galaxy or @MasterEn can draw some good RGT art if they wanted to

Agreed RGT-tan is in fact the site's official or user-voted official mascot, and I have no doubt about that.
I also agree that AI art has its place, but not here as a mascot. I dislike AI art myself, odd I know, coming from someone whose persona is a murderous AI, in fact. But mine is just a fun little act.
I’m not using AI in my creations. Yes, it's 3D and done on a computer, but it’s not just typing a prompt and getting an image, which I don’t mind if someone does for their own personal enjoyment absolutely nothing wrong with that. No disrespect to Retro Doomer and his Creations either.

But I agree and as I mentioned earlier, if Spike were to use something for the subforums, it would be mascots of that brand. Sonic for Sega, Mario for Nintendo, Bonk for TurboGrafx-16, etc., etc.

AI art is mostly useful for throwing random things together to see what bizarre things it creates, watching it make memes which results in some funny images being made, or to possibly give you some inspiration for a drawing.
i was playing around with an ai art website and i was throwing in random words to see what it would create, and one of the pictures it made was of a red head woman with freckles. she looked cute and then it dawned on me; i don't have any characters with freckles. so i made one. she's a red head like the ai one, but i would most likely made her a red head anyways, i like redheads.
my character has a lion's mane of hair, very long and bushy, lots of curls and spikes; her hair changes colors from red to white depending on how hungry she is; and her daughter shares that trait. she has glasses and a ton of freckles too.
AI art isn't inherently bad. it depends on the user's intent. i was bored and checking out what AI art was like a couple of years ago, and it led to me coming up with 2 new characters.
haven't really seen anyone other than @Retro Doomer use ai art like that. everyone on deviantart just draws hot anime babes in sexy poses and outfits with ai programs. which did have its upside since i found a picture with a pose that i needed for about 4 years now for a drawing that i've been trying to make. so, in summary, it's not entirely bad; it just depends on what you are doing with it.
