So, what are some of your favorite comic book games? Marvel vs DC have had a long history, with highs and lows. (Although, I think we can all agree Marvel has historically been well ahead of DC in the videogame race. Sure, there have been some great DC games, like the Batman: Arkham and Injustice games, but it's hard to think of a Marvel game that has garnered nearly as much infamy as games like Superman 64, Batman: Dark Tomorrow and Aquaman: Battle for Atlantis. Not to mention, DC games seem to have hit a wall after the Arkham series concluded. Suicide Squad and Gotham Knights don't seem to have made much of a splash, unlike the recent Marvel Rivals).

Let's see if I can rattle off a top five...

Batman (NES)
Captain America & The Avengers (Arcade & Genesis)
Maximum Carnage: Spider-Man & Venom (Genesis)
Marvel Super Heroes (Arcade & Saturn)
X-Men Legends II (Gamecube)

There's many more, but if I tried to list them, I'd be here all day 😝

I like Marvel vs. Capcom 3 a lot. It was my first contact with Doctor Stange, Deadpool and Skrull.

Arkham City is my favorite game of all time

Discounting that, here's some:
5. Lego DC Super-Villains
4. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
3. Batman TAS (SNES)
2. Spider-Man 2 (2004)
1. Spider-Man 2018

I loved batman arkham asylum and arkham city when I was a kid
Arkham Knight would probably be my favorite were it not for that goddamn BATMOBILE!!!!

But hey, at least it gets destroyed late in the- oh, come on, A SPARE!!!??

In regards to their fighting games, I love the Marvel vs Capcom titles. They tend to have interesting rosters, like Marvel 2 having Spiral, Blackheart, and Shuma Gorath. The music of the franchise has some great tracks too, such as Dr.Doom's theme. The music tends to match the characters very well.

The speed and tag system isn't for everyone, but I personally love playing as the top-tiers and mid-tiers in MvC 1, 2, and 3.

Unfortunately, I could never get into the more recent Injustice titles, or Mortal Kombat vs DC on the 7th gen systems. I never loved the gameplay of Mortal Kombat, and as those are an offshoot of that series in that regard, I did not enjoy playing them, personally.

Injustice should be praised for its single-player content, however; they offer lots of customizable features to players.
