This is one of those games notorious with Anti-piracy, it has a softlock halfway through the adventure, right between Cubyrinth and Icepeak, which makes it difficult to crack, happens with most emulators and flash cards. I played the shit out of this game back in the day. It and "London 2012" for Wii were my jams.

London 2012 for 3DS has imo the best "story" in the series, Vancouver 2010 for the DS (this one) imo has the best "story mode" in the entire series, if this makes sense, this is the closest we ever got to a Mario & Sonic RPG.

The game where the “Hey, are you good with rifles?” meme originates from. Also the game where Mario and Sonic do not speak at all in the story mode for some reason. And has some very questionable choices for voice samples for dialogue boxes in story mode.
