when the color improvement came out i decided to give this game a second chance (already played before and hated it), i'm glad i did it, beautiful and fun game and the patch enhanced it a lot on the visuals

Colors in GBA games often were way brighter than they needed to be because they'd need to be if being played outside due to being portable. Darkening the colors makes it look way better if you're emulating.

If you emulate GBA games often, you notice they are too bright and washed out because the GBA original screen didn't have backlight, so many of its games need to be that way so we could see them in the original hardware. But now on modern and bigger screens it can make they look "ugly" for a lot of people, myself included, and that's why we have so many GBA hacks focused on "making everything darker". It's an improvement when we consider this context.
