For example, in Deltarune I remember the "spare percentage" being present in Chapter 1 despite its introduction in Chapter 2. Additionally, I remember that the background for the Berdly and Spamton (neon't) fights was not a grid, but rather the scenario from the cutscenes before their fights.

I was certain that you split XP with party members by handing in quests in WoW (you only split XP for defeated enemies), so I always left the group before handing in quests because I wanted the max amount of XP. I did this until like 2016.
Now that I think back, it's a really stupid thing to think lol

I also remembered adult Link in Ocarina of Time as having his baldric (the shoulder belt his sword sheath is attached to) visible on the 3d model until I replayed it in Ship of Harkinian last year and noticed it was absent.

I knew kid Link didn't have it, even though both ages have it in their respective artwork.
The belt is present on his model in Majora's Mask, though.

Shredder randomly makes a kawaii face there, but only when you're not staring him.

Star Wars Shadows of the Empire
I remember playing Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire on Nintendo 64, the color of the lasers were green and then when I restarted the game, the lasers turned to red like all lasers in Star Wars were. Don't know if it was my vision, or the version of the game I played, but it changed out of nowhere.

Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting
When I first saw the arcade cabinet at my local Burger King at the age of 4, I was watching the intro, then the Street Fighter II title appeared and I heard a voice in the game say "Street Fighter II: YEAH!" Years later when I played Street Fighter II on Mame/the 30th anniversary collection, the voice wasn't there as if I must've imagined it or if some guy saw the game too and shout it out from behind me.

Dude in Mario Brothers Mario the titular main character begins throwing it back I could’ve sworn that happened.

I swear to god in Mario bros Wii in the final fight with bowser I could’ve sworn after he falls into the lava he turns into dry bones bowser

Never having to fight Nemesis in the train car in original RE3. I was flabbergasted when I discovered that you can just go back out the door and boom, fight is over.

I have a bunch from games I first played or saw at a super young age and misremembered as I got older.

One that comes to mind is Gradius 3 on the SNES. There are a handful of secret, bonus levels you can access by flying into certain spots when certain criteria are met, with one of them being near the ground on level 7 High Speed Zone. I first saw it when I was like 4 and could've sworn there was a small animation of the Vic Viper landing on the ground with landing gear, which I believed up until I found the secret again as a teen. It was just a random detail my young brain filled-in, and I have a bunch more like that too.

Whenever I'll replay Hitman: Blood Money every few years, I misremember Death of a Showman being an optional tutorial. I start a new game, remember it isn't, and wanna shoot myself.

Baller rig btw, OP

I was certain that the Running Man (the legend of zelda, ocarina of time) could be beaten in the race across Hyrule. But no matter what you do, he always beats you by exactly one second. I thought it was just about being "fast enough" and tried endlessly.
