I played this game as a kid and it wasn't that bad for its time, really. It's fairly difficult though. Limited number of saves, lot of easy ways to die, etc. so you may find yourself needing to restart due to not having any saves left or running out of resources. One thing you can do is write down spells you learn and input them via the spell rune entry system when starting a new game so you can have access to powerful magic right away, although since the game does have leveling and stats you may not be able to use much of it before you run out of mana.

For an RPG game with a stats function it's not bad but you have to look for a possibility of what you really have to do like exploring worlds I don't know very well, but graphically it's pretty good for a 1991 NES game although the game looks a bit dark but that effect was thought for CRT TVs of the time and musically it's very British Style as if it were custom in those games.

I checked the game: it's ahead of its time!!! You can use lots of magic like flying and jumping high to ease your platforming so it's like lots of superpowers to choose from!!

Game allows you to save the game which I didn't see it until Sega Genesis games!!!

And then you can buy sunglasses just to look cool!!! lolol:

"Say, these graphics aren't bad."
[Notices that it was developed by "Eurocom"]
"Oh, the 'James Bond Jr.' devs?"
"Figures."

Could also explain why the entire game is dimmed for some odd reason—just like in "James Bond Jr."

I wonder how hard it is to take off the darkening? I think it's a 1 bit flipped somewhere in the code? I might look into it. If it's hard, I won't do it. Lol. If easy, I'll try. Story of my life. :-)
