Yeah, you're right. Sorry for soiling the thread hereMy point is that he doesn't need to be told anything & you don't need to waste your time. Quite frankly, I don't want to have to scroll through a page of long argument posts I couldn't give a crap about when I'm just interested in information about the game.
It's a great game tho. Episodic adventure with light rpg touches. Too bad it doesn't work well on a PSP from what I've tried. Stargood and Supper has a lot of good games like this one they picked up. Check out Private Eydol for PC Engine CD. It's a tad bit similarMy point is that he doesn't need to be told anything & you don't need to waste your time. Quite frankly, I don't want to have to scroll through a page of long argument posts I couldn't give a crap about when I'm just interested in information about the game. You're right and it's sad that it's gotta be that way. But this jackass needs to be told what's what. Not only is his opinion just wrong, it's also BS. He better be glad I'm not a mod. If I was I'd delete his toxic comments and set his account to read only mode.
I'd have a better chance of seeing it get translated than whatever weird shit you're hoping for. Honestly I'm hoping more "candy land shit" like this gets translated just to stress you out. While I'm having fun you can go and continue to shout at the wall that the games being translated aren't macho enough for youKeep waiting for that Mega CD Shin Megami Tensei patch that probably will never happen. You'll see that I'm right.
Who is acting entitled? If you ask me I think you're the one acting entitled. People spending their hard ass time to translate a game and do it better than an official localization would be on top of doing it for free out of the kindness of their hearts to share it with the community is the exact opposite of being entitled.
You're going around complaining that the game being translated is not the kind of game you want to see get a translation, and then calling people girly or gay for enjoying it. It doesn't take much common sense to see that you're the one who's acting entitled. And also wtf? There's a ton of games being translatd that aren't like this one at all. All kinds of genres and target demographics. All of a sudden you see this and they just don't exist?
You strike me as one of those incel pussies who are insecure about their sexuality and feel like they have to constantly project toxic masculinity to look like a "manly man". Have fun stressing out about stupid shit and wasting your time being confused on the wrong circles of the internet. There's nothing I could say that would help you, and even then you wouldn't have the sense to listen anyway.

Keep waiting for that Mega CD Shin Megami Tensei patch that probably will never happen. You'll see that I'm right.I wasn't trolling but whatever. You all think just because someone has a different opinion than you that makes them a troll or a criminal. You are all skipping amazing games to translate just because there's no lolis or furry fandom behind it.A major rule of the internet used to be "Don't feed the trolls—it means they win."
They win when you show them they managed to make you mad.

The translation scene these days are only catering to one demographic. You all act like you're entitled. A-Rank Thunder is probably a much better game than this Candy Land shit. I'm also surprised nobody translated the Mega CD Record of Lodoss War game yet. Put on men's clothes guys and stop wearing your mom and sister's make up.

Supper might have a tendency to favor games made for girls, but their work is phenomenal and they're one of the best translators and romhackers for translating games that I've ever seen.
This is a milestone in being the first real full English patch for a Sega CD exclusive game. They even hacked subtitles into the game. This patch lays down the framework for future projects on Sega CD translations. Now that we know translations of a quality like this can be done for the system, there's bound to start being more Sega CD games translated. As for myself I'm hoping for the Shin Megami Tensei port someday.
It's sad you're so narrow minded and hateful to see how big a deal this translation is and how high of a quality it is. So what if some of us are gay? It's the world we live in. Either get the fuck over it or keep your bigoted hateful comments to yourself. Some of us are trying to have a decent enough day with how shitty the times are now, we shouldn't have to deal with seeing negative shit spewed around like that on top of it.
I'm too bullheaded and opinionated to not reply when someone says something like they did. It's a bad habit I guessWell at least half of them have banged your mom, so it's 50% at most.
Folks really need to stop letting every random jackass with a keyboard send them into a three paragraph tirade full of buzzwords...with a single sentence.
I've never seen a SFW franchise get a NSFW sequel before, that's hilarious. I've always seen it happen the other way around. Either because
1.) They had no faith in the original and thought it needed lewd scenes to get sales, so they crudely crowbarred them in and then realized they were unnecessary, or
2.) They thought "Oh no, we're mainstream now. Well we can't do THAT ever again."
I'll have to give this a try.
The author of this patch seems to love magical girl shit. He probably thinks 75% of retro gamers are gay or something.

Ooh damn didn't expect this to get translated at all
Fun fact
1.this game actually were going to came out on the pc engine cd around 1994 with more colorfull graphics and controll and some story changes but it got cancelled Some build were actually leaked but none of em actually got dumped
2. This game actually has a remake for pc in 2008 but shit kinda weird because
Uh it was bundled with the sequel but the sequels is a frikin corn game lmao, but the first half of the game is just this game but remade into visual novel and it carries the pc engine Story changes,
But it has no 18+ content at all

That one is nice too and I have it on my laptop, but I find cdfix to be significantly easier to use and has a better success rate of merging them without any disc errors compared to CDmage. It's a case of all you need to do is drag and drop the .cue file onto cdfix.exe and it'll process it for you after you confirm that you wanna merge it.
Here, I've attached it in this zip. It's legit and originally came from the Krikzz Everdrive support pages, but since then has been deleted and the only way to access it was through the help of Wayback Machine. Check it out, it's really quick, handy, and efficient.
Just don't use it with the split bin version of this pre-patched translation. The merged bin created by the auto patch .bat script works fine but a merged bin created through other means has issues with audio sync in this game. At least that's what RB said happened when he tried it.
Nice, hope its' "brother" game A-Rank Thunder from the same developers gets a translation, too.

The 35 bin files are 1 data track and 34 music/dialogue tracks. The Redump dumped version of this game is a split bin type bin/cue format dump with all those tracks as separate bin files. This is a common format for PC Engine/TurboGrafx CD, Sega CD, and 3DO games. PS1 and Saturn games sometimes too.
You can easily use a tool to merge the split bin back into a single bin/cue that contains all the data and music tracks into a single bin file. I use a tiny but effective command line app called cdfix. It's impossible to locate now due to the source page being dead and you can only find it using Wayback Machine. I did share it with Rage Burner in a DM tho.
Anyway when the split bin version is patched using the auto patch .bat file in this translation patch it creates a new single bin version that is translated. The other files are just leftovers and are the plain untranslated version. It just seems that Rage made a bit of a mistake by not cleaning up and deleting them all.
I agree that he's a sweet guy and I love him for that, but he didn't do that trying to be nice. He just made a little blunder here. I'll let him know so that he can clean it up and have the download only be the translated one instead of both in one archive.
edit: just talked with him a bit on Discord. He said he used the method that patches the files but keeps them as split files. I told him the auto patch method in it merges it into a cleaner looking single bin instead. He'll replace the one in the download with the single bin one Wednesday. He's getting his PC dedusted/cleaned.
Damn... Was it like hard to hack in text for Sega CD games or something? You'd think with games like the Shin Megami Tensei port that they would get translated at some point years ago. Now that Supper shows it can be done and even with hacked in subtitles that maybe more translations will be attempted for other good Sega CD games.
On another note it seems like this game doesn't want to display properly on a PSP with the PicoDrive for PSP emulator. I got all the music and dialogue to work by creating an iso+mp3+cue copy of it using TurboRip, but the graphics have messed up transparency and stuff.
Perhaps the newer versions of PicoDrive PSP have better results (the ones of v1.92 and v2.00 alpha 1) but I can't even get those versions to get to the roms since they keep crashing my PSP on the file select. It might be due to my bloated memorystick causing it to struggle
I know asking is unlikely to get me any results but does anybody know of a good port of a newer build of PicoDrive to PSP that's available somewhere?

But in terms of something completely original, yes, this is the first English Patch for a Sega CD game.

You're telling me this is the first real noteworthy translation patch for a Sega CD game? That doesn't sound right but if it's true that's crazy. How did I not notice that fact? I'm trippin' lol

This is a common format for PC Engine/TurboGrafx CD, Sega CD, and 3DO games. PS1 and Saturn games sometimes too.I suppose they are packed in the same archive to give you or me or anyone, the option to choose between multiple bin files or just one bin file. Rageburner, the guy who share this, is trully a kind person. If he had uploaded just the multiple or one bin file, some people would have problems playing the game. There are a plethora of different cases here. Some emulators just play a single bin file ( Like Picodrive for 3DS)
I took matters in my own hand and patched and figured out how to play this game for myself. I am already thankfull, just for the information that this game, that I did not even knew exists, and on top of that, got and english translation! I was wondering if it would be posted in this very site, so I decided to do it myself.
I know that it can create lots of doubts, about which bin file is needed or if you have to put them all together.
I think the answer is " If the size of the 35 multiple bin files are the same amount as the one bin file, it means that one are equivalente to the others and it is up to us, to decide which one will suit our needs"
When it comes to the simple logic as to wy this is bulletproff sure, is that, for 90% at the time, at least, we (in the context of multiple bin files) will never find one bin file, that are much bigger in size to the others, let alone having the same size as all the other 35 left ones combine ( in the case of this game) which means that the BIG ONE, corresponds to the same as the multiple 35 ones.
Hope that I helped you with that!
I'm answering myself; yes, you can delete all track files. The japanese version itself is ~400MB with all those *.bin files. Downloading the translated version (which is also ~400MB), it had the game itself already translated + all the track files (which are useless, I don't know why they are packed in the same archive here).
