Dreamcast Magic the Gathering on Dreamcast

Do you know this game?

This is a Japanese exclusive game where the US made the most famous TCG called Magic The Gathering.

If you're MTG fan here, I have questions:

It didn't release on the US.
Do you need a fan translation or no?
Was it worth playing? Or do you prefer TCG because they want real cards.
Please comment on this one I love to share your opinion.

I've never heard of it. But I don't have much experience with the Dreamcast either. Looks interesting, Card games are always good.

If you go into the files, all of the cards have English text variants. It's just the campaign/RPG that's 100% Japanese. You could easily mod the cards to show their EN variants but no ones done it to my knowlege.

Magic (used to be) cool, In universe the cards don't exists it's all magic done by planes walkers summoning creatures & casting spells.
The PC/Xbox game Battlegrounds does a fairly good representation of the universe without cards.
It's a shame the irl game has become card game Fortnite the franchise used to have novels detailing the lore and it's all gone so Doctor who can fight Spiderman.

The DC game was a introduction to the TCG for Japanese market, so they designed a fantasy game which relies on the cards for it's combat. (Dual Masters was the second attempt at getting Magic into Japan- and it did so well it spun off and separated itself from Magic lol)
If you can read Japanese it would be a great introduction to Magics classic worldbuilding.

I gave that a try and posted about it in the MTG thread since someone mentioned it, even though I can't read Japanese I could kind of figure a few things out, but it took me awhile to figure out how to add lands etc. and I lost interest >_<
