The 2D sprites mixed with the 3D background looks really great even today & the OST is really underrated as well because it's a banger lol. Also you gotta love that late 90's anime art style present in a lot of these obscure PS1/Saturn games.

@CSmith327 There you go, Rage has already posted the Eboot version of Mad Panic Coaster.
Thank you for following through with my request. I really appreciate it. I spoke with Rage about possibly becoming a curator sometime in the future. Maybe late next year perhaps. Also that Mega link in my other comment will be dead now since I'm going to delete it soon

So was the idea to add the PSP eboot version abandoned? Sorry for the trouble and all. I know it was me just being random, but I miss the time when almost every psx iso also had a psp version uploaded not long after. (and this game actually looks pretty good on psp too) Recently it seems like they're phasing out adding PSX2PSP content. I'm just wondering if you did contact RB and he said no since I wasn't planning on keeping that zip file on my Mega forever and was gonna delete it after I saw it added to the site
Yes, I contacted him on Discord and he said he's going to make an Eboot version of this game. I'll ask him tomorrow if it worked.

Remember the mine cart riding level from Donkey Kong 64? Imagine that as a whole game. Now imagine it going incredibly fast.

That’s basically Mad Panic Coaster in a nutshell.

It's awesome!

I created a proper PSX2PSP eboot of this to work on PSP. It's got nice art of the game that looks good in the game list and the game runs perfectly. Since it has cd audio you might need the cdda fix and/or popsloader plugins for the music to play, but those are easy to get and configure. Could you upload it as well? I've shared it here on my MEGA
Edit: Also the PSP has a character limit for the names of the folders in PSP/GAME They can't be more 25 characters or it will say it's corrupt. So whatever you do don't rename the folder I put the eboot into unless you give it a shorter name. The name I gave it is just under the limit
I've never posted a PSP Eboot, so I'll ask Rage to upload the version you made.

I was genuinely shocked when I found out that this game wasn't available on ⅭⅮR, because this game is awesome, one of my favorite PS1 games.

Honestly I didn't know this game but it's curious because of the concept which is very different in itself where both children are mounted on coasters where they have to avoid all kinds of obstacles to advance the route. 🎢

And by the way, thank you very much for sharing this game friend. 👍🏻👍🏻

I like everybody thinks I said something bad.
Not bad only strange in the context, When you talk to gamers, "import-friendly" means a game that can be played without knowing the language, whether because it has minimal text, the menus are in English, or the gameplay is very intuitive. And therefore, it's literally worth importing.

Playability is so important that it takes precedence over genre, quality, and rating. This takes on new importance now with emulation, where people are always looking for games that, for whatever reason, not many people have played.

That said, it seems that when you say "import," you're thinking about its chances of being adapted by a distributor, and the cover art was the least important factor. There are dozens of cases of games that were adapted, and the cover art is completely different. And given that in those years (1997), Sony's advantage over Nintendo was in violent games, they probably would have made it bloodier.

The two factors that probably prevailed in not bringing it to America and Europe were Sony America's policy of prohibiting games with 2D sprites and the fact that it is difficult to the point of being frustrating.

at least dude is always looking ahead, paying attention and controlling the cart. his gf cant stop looking back, winking at the camera. she doesnt have a care in the world. meanwhile dude is focused, keeping them alive. lmao

Thank you for sharing this one! I was pretty recently lamenting just how hard it is to find online, lol.
