Lunar Thread

Haven't played this one in ages so correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this the game where sprinting drains your health and after each battle you have to choose if you want to get experience or loot because for some inane reason keeping both just isn't an option?
Yes, that's Dragon Song.

I just finished the first one on PSX (the un-worked version) and I absolutely loved it. The pacing was nice and it was on the shorter end as I completed it in about 26 hours, which I did appreciate as I'm in the mood for RPGs I can beat in 30 hours or less. I will definitely play the sequel!

The Lunar series was what sucked me into the rabbit hole that is JRPGs. I did play and beat Super Mario RPG before then but it didn't send me spiraling into JRPG madness. It wasn't until I went to a friend's house and he showed off Lunar 2 that I get sent down that dark path. I beat the first game on psx and got stuck against Zophar in the 2nd. Eventually I will pick up the Remastered Collection to remedy that. But I did end up going into the Grandia series afterwards and beat the first 2 of those, not sure if I will ever attempt the latter 2

LUNAR 1 and 2 are perfect RPG comfort food. I still need to play Magic School and The Ruins of Lore, which I've heard are pretty good. Shame about Dragon Song...

I had never played them until this year. I played through the first Lunar on the Saturn and then went straight into Lunar 2, but then gave up after a few hours and started playing something else.

I need to go back and finish Lunar 2.

Eternal Blue is one of my all time favorites, it is a game that really engrosses you into it's world and characters in a way that really sticks with you. I played it almost 2 decades ago, and I still think about characters like Ruby, Ronfar and Jean now and again.
