Looking for games that are not very resource demanding and are not very big in size. Either PC or console games. The limit for emulation seems to be Dreamcast and PSP, tried PS2 and GC, sometimes they run full speed, sometimes they are unplayable.
Specs:
Intel Core i7-7500U
Amd Radeon R7 M340
8gb DDR4 1200 MHz

Worms Armageddon
Duke3D
DOOM
Lemmings
Pretty much the entire PS1 library from the sounds of things, so Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Spider-Man etc.

I can verify that with those specs you can play anything from the NES to PSX without any issues. PS2 and Gamecube/Wii games tend to be more demanding so the 3D games can be hit or miss. GBA games shouldn't be an issue and I think DS and PSP emulation should work as well.

Ever tried Wii U emulation?
I’ve got a Dell mini PC with a Core i7 4960X and a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
I set up Batocera as the main OS, so it can handle everything from NES to Nintendo Switch and PS3
It’s basically just for emulation and media center

While Steam can also tell you the bare minimum specs needed and I think some of those are exaggerated I think a good chuck from GOG's free stuff can run just fine. If it fails natively you can try their launcher to see if it smooths out.

A lot of classic 90s PC games like Doom, Quake, Blood, Duke 3D, etc. are a good time and should run on nearly any PC. Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 and Fallout 1 and 2 are great too.
